My name is Amina Abdulrashid. I am an entrepreneur and content creator
What do you do in terms of business?

What are some of the challenges you encounter in your business as a woman?
As a woman, I can’t think of anything. As a business person, I face everyday challenges. Technical bits with our day to day operations has to be the main one. Covid has also been a challenge, as we all know.
When did you realize you had a passion for fashion?
I have always liked fashion, even as a kid. Being well dressed has always been a big part of my personality.
How has social media impacted you over the years?
Positively. I have grown my businesses through social media, made a living for myself. I have met my closest friends on social media so all good things Alhamdulilah.
Decsribe yourself in one word?
Go-getter
Do you believe cultural beliefs affect women in business?
To an extent yes. Women are not usually given equal opportunity. But I think we are getting better at this. Atleast in my culture,female entrepreneurs are the norm.
How much Capital (estimation) to start a fashion business?

I was born and raised in Mandera. I have a degree in gender and development studies.

Are you a content creator or an Influencer?
Content creator.
How do you juggle content creating, IG, managing your business and married life?
I think it’s all about balance. I am very blessed to be in a position where I can delegate most things, my business doesn’t need me to function. We have structures in place that have guaranteed that. This allows me to focus on other parts of my life.
Are you a feminist?
Yes I am.
What advice would you give women in business and those who want to start out?
Just start. Once you start, don’t give up on yourself. Successful people are the ones who don’t quit
What is your biggest inspiration?
My family.
Whats the importance of a support system especially for entrepreneur women?
They say your network is your networth. Having a great support system can really change your life. Entrepreneurship can be a very lonely career, it’s healthy to be surrounded by people who support you.
