Credible media reports reveal that Laugh Industries, the parent company behind the show, is seeking a deal with Tv47.
With details of the deal yet to be announced, it is said that Mount Kenya University (MKU) will be utilised as a venue for the show as it makes its comeback in terms of comedy performances to be relaunched on the station.
Sources hinted that the relaunch of the show will come in the next two weeks.
Among the reasons Laugh Industries called off its partnership with NTV include production costs and logistical issues. Also, it was revealed that Ndambuki had utilised equipment from his other company for the purposes of the show.
The show has had to undergo a paradigm shift following the ban on public gatherings imposed by the government in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Churchill had changed the format of the show to include interviews with personalities dominating trends across the country as well as headline-making personalities.
The show returned in 2021 with a stand-up event held in Naivasha in adherence to the Ministry of Health regulations, with tickets going for Ksh5,000 per person.
