In less than a day, a video uploaded by Diana Bahati to her Youtube channel in which she was gifted a dream house by her musician husband has received slightly more than 400k views and counting, and is currently trending second in Kenya.
The video was part of the couple’s five-part Valentine’s Day series, in which they splurged and broke the bank to give each other five unique gifts.
While all of the gifts were noteworthy and had netizens oohing and aaahing from Facebook to Telegram, it was Bahati’s fifth gift that blew the roof off, shocked fans, and made admirers cry in the comments section.
The musian, who appeared to have developed an interest in vlogging, had just returned from purchasing a new Landcruiser TX for his wife, which he had presented in flashy fashion at the Muthaiga Golf Club, before demonstrating yet another trick he had up his sleeve.
It all started at the couple’s house, where they were picked up and chauffeured to Wilson Airport in a cocaine-white Range Rover for a dreamy ride to their dream home.
Diana who has also re-invented herself as a rapper ‘Diana B’ appeared as if in a trance during the chopper ride, walking upon clouds of delight- or flying as her husband went on about his fifth and last gift.
19,000 people were waiting with bated breath when the video debuted on Diana’s channel, with the video racking up thousands of views in just a few minutes.
When the surprise was revealed, everyone was taken aback, including ‘Diana B,’ who claims to be the ‘baddest rapper in the game.’
Bahati would reveal that he has been secretly planning the surprise, transforming a Maisonette he allegedly purchased into a fully furnished wonderland with manicured lawns and plush finishes.
While the couple hasn’t revealed what’s beyond the front door, Bahati took great pride in displaying the gazebo in their backyard, which is made entirely of glass and mahogany.
The house is so luxurious that you could have mistakenly assumed the couplehad instead, flown to Bora Bora.
Even those who swear they haven’t cried in the face of Nairobi’s constant bombardment found the video to be deeply moving.
