
The Highlands West of the Rift Valley as well as a few areas in the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, and the Coast are expected to receive rainfall for the next seven days.
In its seven-day weather forecast, Kenya Meteorological Department said on Tuesday that occasional cloudiness is expected over some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley.
Strong south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots (12.9 m/s) are expected over some parts of Northwestern and North-eastern Kenya.
During the forecast period, the areas of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Central and South Rift Valley will experience sunny mornings, however, light rains are expected over few places during the second half of the forecast period.
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur over several places. Night showers are expected over few places.
Maximum (daytime) temperatures in Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Central and South Rift Valley are likely to range from 18o C to 31o C while minimum (night time) temperatures are expected to be between 08o C and 20o C.
Daytimes in Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to be generally sunny and nights partly cloudy.
Maximum (daytime) temperatures are likely to range from 20o C to 38o C while minimum (night time) temperatures are expected to be between 11o C and 26o C
Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale counties will have generally sunny and nights partly cloudy. However, light morning and afternoon/evening showers are expected over few places during the first half of the forecast period.
The maximum (daytime) temperatures on the coast are likely to range from 28o C to 32o C while minimum (night time) temperatures are expected to be between 22o C and 24o C.
