Media personality Ciku Muiruri has mourned the late billionaire Chris Kirubi in a touching tribute on social media.
She shared a lengthy post on her Facebook about three of many stories she remembers most about him, who she worked with at his radio station Capital FM.
The first story Ciku shared showed the generous and swift side of the late Kirubi after he called her several times to pass a message on her breakfast show without success.
She said when he came to the studio and discovered that her phone was stolen, he took her to the nearest shop and ensured she got a new one. “He took me downstairs, entered the first shop we came across selling phones and asked, ‘Do you know who I am?’ They said ‘yes’ and he told them to give me a phone and send the bill to his office. He walked out, hesitated and then came back and gave them a price range,” she said. Ciku also revealed that she invented the name DJ CK which she started calling him when he pretended to do The Fuse show with another presenter.
