Kezia Aoko Obama, the stepmother of former U.S. President Barack Obama and the mother of his half-siblings Auma Obama and Malik Obama, has died.

Taking to social media to break the news, Auma Obama said her mother passed on Tuesday.

She was the first wife of former President Obama’s father, Obama Senior. The second was the ex-Head of State’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.

Her death comes a few weeks following that of the family matriarch, Mama Sarah Obama who died at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu on March 29, 2021 at 99 years.

Mama Sarah was laid at her home in Kogelo, Siaya County, on March 30, 2021.
